Relations with patient associations

Sanofi recognizes the importance of transparency as a means to build trust with stakeholders, including the public, and most importantly the patient as the ultimate recipient of care.

Transparency with patient associations is an intrinsic part of Sanofi’s Global Principles covering interactions with patient associations. As part of an ongoing commitment, we continue to update our approach towards enhancement of transparency, which incorporates voluntary approaches.

From 2010 onwards, when disclosing our activities with patient associations based in Europe, we have included the financial amounts associated with these activities, prior to this becoming a mandatory requirement. Furthermore, we have extended the geographic coverage of activities from 2011 onwards to include the following countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan and the United States.
